Kimberly Booth
Owner/Coach
She has been with Prairie Fire for 11 years, 7 years as an athlete, and now 9 years as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is teaching grade one at Ecole Victoria, hanging out with her French Bulldog Gus, or reading a book. You can also find her hanging out with fellow coaches Taylor and Kayla eating nachos or taking their dogs for walks.
Kim coached the Usask Cheer Team and an elementary team at Ecole Victoria for one season and is excited to coach again at Victoria school this year. She has completed her Bachelor of Education through Usask making her a coach/athlete/student for many years.
She enjoys coaching here because the community at PFC is so supportive of one another and it feels like a family. I love to watch athletes grow from year to year and the joy on their athletes faces when they land a skill that they have been having a tough time with or hit their stunt!

Taylor Dea
Owner/Coach
She has been with Prairie Fire for 12 years, 8 as an athlete, and 10 as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is hanging out with her daughter Ivy, son, and pug named Winston, and spending time with her husband Tyler.
Taylor worked on completing a 4-year Bachelor of Arts in Psychology while joining our family, and convocated from the U of S in 2018. In the summer of 2021 she committed even further by joining the ownership crew of Prairie Fire. She has taken the judging course through the SCA and has absolutely loved judging for the past 10 years. Last season she finished her last SCA certification and is able to coach up to level 6! She’s currently on an SCA committee and is excited to see what other opportunities there are in the future.
She enjoys coaching here because of all the amazing athletes that she has watched grow from mini’s to now high school students and beyond!

Todd Knihnitski
Owner/Gym Manager
He has been with Prairie Fire for 19 years as a coach and owner, two years as PFC athlete and 5 years as a U of S Athlete, and loving every minute of cheer since I started in 1997!
When he is not at the gym, he is teaching, spending time with his family or on a hike.
Todd has coached BJM, BR and Delisle Highschool teams, the U of S, and almost every team at Prairie Fire Cheerleading. He has helped with the SCA for many years and is currently serving his 3rd year as a Director for Cheer Canada. He also completed his Sports Science Degree along with his Education Degree.
He loves coaching, seeing young people grow into adult leaders. He owes much of his happiness to cheer as he found his beautiful partner Cristina through cheer. How great is it to coach cheer!

Alexandra (Alex) Dubois
Coach
She has been with Prairie Fire for 5 years, 5 as an athlete, since moving to Saskatchewan, and now it's her 2nd year as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is catching up with friends, doing homework and playing with her dog Chewie.
Alex has been involved in cheerleading since Grade one and is now in her 2nd year of high school. She has successfully completed a number of courses in the National Coaching Certification Program, while joining our family.
She enjoys coaching here because she loves seeing athletes reach their goals and helping the athletes get there.

Brayden Obed
Head Coach/Choreographer
Brayden has been with Prairie Fire for 16 years as a coach and athlete.
He coaches a minimum of 2 teams while simultaneously organizing our tumbling and choreography.
If you know Brayden, you know how silly and fun he is.
Elizabeth (Liz) Chapman
Coach
Liz has been with Prairie Fire for 7 years, 6 as an athlete, and 4 as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is with her friends or on the wrestling mats.
Liz is certified to level 1, and has competed at Summit as well as Canadian Nationals. She is going on to grade 12.
She enjoys coaching here because: She loves to help athletes in their development as athletes and individuals. She wants to see athletes reach their full mental and physical potential in sport.

Kaitlyn Sanford
Coach
Kaitlyn has been with Prairie Fire for 12 years, 12 as an athlete, and 4 as a coach. She also competed at 2023 worlds with a gym in New Brunswick.
When she is not at the gym, she talks about cheerleading.
Kaitlyn is certified to level 2, and is starting a Psychology degree at the University of Saskatchewan to eventually become a sport psychologist.
She enjoys coaching here because: the coaches at prairie fire raised me and so I want to create the same core memories in the next generation of athletes.

She has been with Prairie Fire for 10 year as an athlete, and 9 as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is reading and spending time outdoors, usually with her adopted pug Ronnie.
Kayla has coached at Tommy Douglas Collegiate after competing with the team for 3 years. She judged on the SCA Panel for 2 years. She also completed her Bachelor of Arts & Science in Health Studies in 2019 from USASK making her a student/coach/athlete for many years.
She loves coaching because learning teamwork and cooperation is a skill our athletes can take with them for the rest of their lives and we see it every day in the PFC gym!

Melissa Ernst
Coach/Advisor
She has been with Prairie Fire for 16 years. 10 years as an athlete, and now 14 years as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is working in the emergency department at RUH as a Unit Assistant, or is spending lots of time with her two pets Oakley and Timone.
Melissa has competed and won a national championship title in New Jersey in 2016. She was awarded coach of the year in 2020. She has also created a tumbling binder which contains several drills and progressions for levels 1-4.
She enjoys coaching at PFC because it’s a safe environment with a very supportive gym family. She grew up through the program and now wants to share what she’s learned with the rest of the club!

Riley Coughlin

This is her third year with Prairie Fire as a coach and athlete.
When she is not at the gym, you can find her studying, working out, or hanging out with her dogs Lucy and Finn.
Riley has completed a BSc in Kinesiology prior to joining our family. She also has 10 years experience as an athlete and 7 years experience coaching in Calgary, AB.
She enjoys coaching because cheerleading has many valuable life skills so she loves to see athlete’s grow not only in their cheer skills but also as individuals. She also loves to see the excitement on an athlete's face when they learn a new skill or hit a clean routine at a competition!

Rowen Johnston

She has been with Prairie Fire for 11 years, 11 as and athlete, and now 3 as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is hanging out with friends, doing homework, or relaxing with her dog, Rocky.
Rowen is in her last year of high school and has completed several coaching courses.
She enjoys coaching here because she loves to show her athletes how to feel confident, see her athletes progress, and to help them enjoy cheer as much as she does.

Shanda Dziurzynski
Coach
She has been with Prairie Fire for 15 years as a coach, and cheered for two years as a PFC athlete.
When she is not at the gym, she is working full-time as an HR Business Partner, serving on non-profit boards, and travelling.
Shanda was an athlete on the U of S Cheer Team and went on to coach that program for 5 years following graduating from university. She is also an SCA judge and coach examiner, and has served on the board of directors for 8 years where she currently holds the President position.
She enjoys coaching here because PFC is a home away from home and a second family. She loves it at PFC because it’s an opportunity to coach her favourite sport, develop athletes in both cheer and life, and be treated with kindness and compassion in the process. PFC’s initiatives to give back to the larger community is an added bonus!

When she is not at the gym, she is doing her hobbies (painting, doing nails, listening to music).
Adyssen is currently in high school.
She enjoys coaching here because she loves working with kids and she was always grateful that she had amazing coaches growing up who were always encouraging her to do her best.

Summer Quesnel

Summer has been with Prairie Fire for 10 years, 10 as an athlete, and 3 as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Summer is certified to level 1 , and is going into grade 11. She has been to the Summit Championships in Orlando Florida in 2023 with PFC CODE RED and has been to the Magical Championships of the world in Mexico with PFC TNT in 2024.
She enjoys coaching here because: PFC feels like her second family. She loves to see her athletes growth and succeed throughout the season.

Dani has been with Prairie Fire for 5 years, 5 as an athlete, and 1st year as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is working out, working at Olive Garden, spending time with friends!
Dani is certified to level 3, and has competed at the Magical Championship of the world in Mexico!
She enjoys coaching here because PFC feels like home, everyone supports each other through everything and is one big family. She loves to share her passion for this sport and gym! She loves nothing more than watching all the athletes grow, succeed, and create lifelong memories!

Ava has been with Prairie Fire for 4 years, fourth as an athlete, and first as a coach.
When she is not at the gym, she is busy studying, crafting and visiting with loved one.
Ava is certified to level 1 and has competed at Summit, Canadian nationals and Finals.
She enjoys coaching here because PFC has given her the opportunity to grow as an athlete and fall in love with the sport all over again, sharing the love for this sport is something she is very excited to do.
